In this first medium-length film by the project Reconciliação [Reconciliation], which started in 2018 by the duo of artists, five pictures propose some type of purge - whether in a conversation directly addressing themes such as the covid-19 pandemic, in a monologue shouted by an actor that, walking through the city in a hurry, talks about the far-right ascension, whether in the image of an iceberg breaking off.

The thing that is in focus in the project is the reconciliation idea as a process of acceptance and interaction with the other. Reconciliação, presented in the International Portugal’s Festival of Iberian Expression Theater (Fitei), strips the theme in this first approach, within a work in progress logic resulting in another medium-length film, Trauma, featured in Mirada Occupation 2011 and that, according to Dal Farra and Portela, it might also occupy the stage in a future step of the project.

Alexandre Dal Farra
Director, playwright, and writer worked with different Brazilian and foreign groups and directors. With the Tablado de Arruar, he wrote and co-directed the “trilogia abnegação” [abnegation trilogy] about the current political thinking and the Brazilian left-wing.

Patrícia Portela
Writer, playwright, and author of performances, the artist lives between Portugal and Belgium. She is the artistic director of Teatro Viriato, in Viseu, Portugal, and writer of the novel Dias Úteis [Useful Days] and Hífen, among others.
