The show Frequência 20.20, presented in the project #emcasacomosesc, opens this election. Grace Passô is one of the artists I like to follow as an actress, playwright director, and researcher. She has a huge talent.

Of the documentary series Cena Inquieta, of SescTV, about theater collectives of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and Recife, I highlight the episode of Cia Os Crespos and Coletivo Negro, two important collectives for the theater scene with vertical research on the experience of black bodies in Brazil today. I’m a fan. Also, the episode of Cia do Tijolo and Teatro do Osso. These companies have incredible artistic power. They sing, play instruments, and act based on continuous severe research work. In Inútil Canto and Inútil Pranto para Anjos Caídos, the Teatro do Osso starts with the playwright from Santos, Plínio Marcos, but with a 2021 look, with a research on dissident bodies.

Still in the Cena Inquieta series, the episode Os Satyros proves the transformation that art can cause around it, in the surroundings of the theater, as happens at Roosevelt Square, in São Paulo. The pioneering spirit in dialoguing with the transvestites and trans women who used to go to the square for prostitution. One of the first artistic groups to include these bodies on stage, like Savana Meirelles and the diva Phedra de Córdoba, and her trilogy discussing gender (Transex, Pink Star, and Cabaré Transperipatético [Transperipatetic Cabaret]).

And the episode O Lugar da Diferença (The Place of Difference) from the series De Onde se vê (From Where We See It), where the difference is thought towards and in the scene.

I hope you enjoy these recommendations and stay tuned for the other curators’ recommendations. And have a nice session, you all.
