Dora, who was the student of medicine and guerrilla fighter Maria Auxiliadora Lara Barcelos (1945-1976), who took to arms in the fight against the military dictatorship at the tender age of 23, has her life history told by Sara Antunes in this play that the actress wrote and directed. Structured as a fragmented kaleidoscope, this play mixes sections of letters, file pictures, and autobiographical reports made by the actress.

Dora shows a route with records of the memory and affirmation of paths trailed by women in politics, supported by letters that Dora had sent to her mother from prison and also when in exile. Angela Bicalho, Sara’s mother, also takes part in the play, establishing a parallel between Dora’s life and the family history of the actress.
