DIGITAL GLANCES
The Social Services of Commerce (SESC) has given particular importance to the creation of audio-visual content that preserves memory while also stirring up thoughts about stage art. In this Occupation of 2021, the Digital Glances have come to add something extra to shows, debates, and opening of creative processes, in the shape of a special collection of performing arts to watch at home. Guest artists construct narratives for different collections of work within SESC’s digital collection. The idea behind this is getting people involved in a trip through time, navigating through these stories told in an unusual way.
Ten guest artists and art critics have made a curatorship of this material, which considers original serials and documentaries of SescTV, a selection of live streams done through the hashtag #EmCasaComSesc, (At home with SESC), including Antunes Filho’s digital collection, the Dramaturgias (Dramaturgy) podcast, and the Glance (Mirada) web docs, among many others records and poetic documents that are available through the SESC digital channels.
Encouraged by these curators and steered by their own curiosity, the public may expand the discussions of this Occupancy and establish new connections in the performing arts world. On navigating, each person shall have the opportunity to dive into a sea of pictures, times and spaces of memories, languages, and differing points of view, as presented in SESC’s audio-visual productions.
