More than an exhibition of shows, Mirada seeks in each edition to promote the exchange between artists and bring them closer to the audience through discussions, chats, and workshops. In Ocupação Mirada 2021, the hybrid format expands the scope of activities and potentially creates new networks in the digital environment. The program includes roundtables on several topics, such as the role of festivals, the ways of artistic expressions of Latin America’s native peoples, and performance art as a strategy to retell non-official stories. A creation laboratory devoted to questioning the historical monuments, articulating relevant groups in Latin America to review the inherited narratives. Other activities include three creative processes in different creation phases and formats, underlining the character of permanent development in art and history constructions.
